Description
These practical exercises illustrate the Automatic Control course of semester 6.
The first exercise teaches how to control a simple automation system using a TSX 47 PLC and grafcet modeling. Two other experiments concern continuous-time systems, whose models and dynamic behaviors are analyzed and characterized in the time and frequency domains. The interest and study of their controls are then studied. Matlab programming software and real-time control systems are used.
These 3 manipulations are :
- Control of a pneumatic system using a TSX 47 PLC (moving a metal part on a bench using pneumatic cylinders and a conveyor belt)
- Modeling, Identification, Simulation and Simple Control of a Nonlinear System (Position-controlled crane load)
- Identification and Precompensation Control of an Electromechanical System (Speed-Controlled DC Motor)
Objectives
A first objective is to put into practice the concepts and tools seen in the Systems Control course taught earlier in the semester.
A second objective is to introduce students to GRAFCET modeling for PLC programming. PLC programming will be carried out using AUTOMGEN software.
