Description
The Societal Issues module is part of the "Business and Society Interactions" UE. It deals with societal issues relating to the impact of climate change and the finitude of natural resources. It is characterized by 2 parts. The 1st part, "Acclimacampus", aims to create, in groups, a digital object for scientific mediation on one of the themes of the impacts of climate change in New Aquitaine and solutions for mitigation and adaptation (source: Acclimaterra). The second part consists of learning about the theoretical foundations, concepts and solutions of the circular economy via the videos available in the MOOC (source: UVED).
Objectives
The aim of the "Acclimacampus" section is firstly to familiarize participants with a regional tool for making scientific knowledge available on the impact of climate change and solutions for adapting territories to it, and then to take ownership of a theme in order to digitally reproduce some of this information. These digital works, most of which are videos, are promoted by ENSEGID (open days, receptions for secondary school students, etc.). It is also an opportunity to strengthen ENSEGID's partnership with the AcclimaTerra scientific committee. The skills targeted include group work, and the production of digital and educational material.
The aim of the section on the circular economy is to enable3rd year students to grasp the concepts and foundations of the circular economy. This section is organized in two parts. First, students watch videos from the MOOC "Circular Economy and Innovation" offered by UVED (context, framework, implementation and conditions for success). Then they wrote a short text on a localized example of the circular economy, which was then evaluated by their peers. The aim is to empower students in their learning (videos can be viewed asynchronously), in their evaluation (by their peers), and possibly in the "critical" use of generative AI in the design of a text on a territorialized example of the circular economy.
