Description
At the end of this TD cycle, apprentices will be able to:
- Use the basic functions of an MS Excel-type spreadsheet, as well as some more advanced functions (Solver, Macros, TCD)
- Present work done on an MS Excel-type spreadsheet to a colleague in a clear and precise manner
- Present the results of a scientific project orally to a colleague using a Power Point-type support
- Program in Python

Mandatory prerequisites
The basics of using a microcomputer under Microsoft Windows operating system,
Good level in Mathematics.
Syllabus
Introduction to the Excel spreadsheet and independent processing of experimental data. (3 sessions of 4 hours)
The exercises proposed concern, for example, the identification of kinetic parameters (rate constants, reaction orders, etc.), thermo-physical quantities (thermodynamic model parameters, transfer coefficients) or controls (casting or operating temperature profiles), etc.
More in-depth knowledge of the Excel spreadsheet: macros and pivot tables. (3 sessions of 4 hours)
Introduction to Python programming for scientific computing (4 sessions of 4 h)
