Description
The aim of this module is to introduce students to GRAFCET modeling and the Ladder contact language for PLC programming. Student engineers complete 4 practical assignments on the following topics.
- Control of a pneumatic system using a TSX 47 PLC (moving a metal part on a bench using pneumatic cylinders and a conveyor belt)
- Elevator control by TSX 47 PLC (TSX 47 PLC and elevator model)
- Assembly line implementation: distribution station (FESTO FEC 640/660 PLC: programming the distribution or assembly module)
- Assembly line implementation: control station (FESTO FEC 640/660 PLC: programming the dispensing or assembly module)
Objectives
The aim is to introduce students to GRAFCET modeling and the Ladder contact language. PLCs will be programmed using AUTOMGEN and FST 4.21.
