Description
Very often today, the physical systems to be controlled operate in continuous time, while the control laws are implemented in digital equipment operating in discrete time.
- Continuous: time t can take on any real value
- Discrete: time k.Te, k∈N can only take values
Servo systems (process + control law) are therefore very often hybrid systems combining continuous and discrete time.
Objectives
- Use mathematical tools related to signals and discrete systems
- Determine the continuous equivalent of a discrete system and vice versa
- Analyze the stability of a discrete system
- Synthesizing a discrete controller
Skills developed through this module :
