Description
Managing QSE issues
Every engineer, in his or her role as supervisor or even manager, uses a management system formalized according to regulatory and/or standardized requirements. They need to understand the meaning and use of these systems. They must also understand the role and impact of regulations on their activities and objectives. This applies to product and service quality, environmental management and preservation, and the maintenance of personal hygiene, health and safety.

Every engineer, in his or her role as supervisor or even manager, uses a management system formalized in accordance with regulatory and/or standardized requirements. They need to understand the meaning and use of these systems. They must also understand the role and impact of regulations on their activities and objectives. This applies to product and service quality, environmental management and preservation, and the maintenance of personal hygiene, health and safety. This module covers these concepts:
The role and purpose of regulations, Regulatory monitoring and compliance,
The principle of hazard identification and risk assessment (FMEA-type approaches),
Legal control of environmental risks, Legal control of hygiene, health and safety risks in the workplace, Legal control of safety risks in the use or consumption of the product/service.
