Advanced molecular synthesis

This à la carte module aims to develop knowledge and skills in the fields of synthesis of organic compounds and materials. The learner will then be able to understand, analyze and critique scientific publications or other resources on organic chemistry Elaborate a short synthesis path and read a scientific document in English on organic chemistry, Understand the relationship between the chemical structure of a compound and its color in solution.
In the course of this module, learners will be able to develop the following skills:

Obtain or modify the functional properties of an organic material (develop the synthesis of an organic compound, anticipate the optical properties of an organic product)
Monitor scientific, technological and competitive developments (collect and analyze articles and patents)
Integrate knowledge into a research problem, or an industrial or socio-economic sector in France or abroad
Research, find, analyze and synthesize information. Schematize, model
Communicate information in French and English
Identify, evaluate and control risks (e.g. chemical, biological, professional, environmental) according to the sector of application.

This module is of interest to students wishing to follow the 3A CBI, LAI and IPF specialization. It is offered in conjunction with the 25h MACSY module.
