Description

Presented as the 4th industrial revolution, after mechanization, mass production in the 19th century and automation of production in the 20th century, "Factory 4.0" is characterized by the integration of digital technologies into manufacturing processes. The aim is to gain a concrete understanding of what is meant by the term "Factory 4.0", particularly at the level of Production and its management, but also how this approach can enable better management and efficiency of industrial utilities, so as to gain overall performance.
This module is compulsory to integrate the 3A CPI specialization. It is also of interest for the MPI4.0 specialization.

Syllabus

- P. Guillou: 8h CI (energy thermodynamics, thermodynamic cycles: production of heat, cold and electricity on an industrial scale) + 3h TP (study of an R134a refrigeration cycle: heat pump and refrigeration)
- A. Sommier: 8h CM (from sensors to supervision, Usine 4.0) + 8h TD (project "Supervision of a sugar beet reception center" based on industrial specifications: defining the man-machine interface, prioritizing sensitive variables, ensuring data validity ie. detection and elimination of outliers, setting up data redundancy + defining storage protocols and the structure of the associated database) + 12h computer work (programming on Labview at ENSEIRB-MATMECA: simulating the operation of a pasteurizer)
- H. Kromm: 8h IT practical work (using the results obtained with A. Sommier on Labview: discovering how an Open-source ERP works, then integrating the production monitoring data from the simulation, adapting the planning of production orders to an MRP logic, and finally monitoring the evolution of stocks to make the right decisions).
