Description

In France, the title of "ingénieur diplômé" has both an academic and a professional character.
It is protected: its attribution and use are placed under the control of the Commission des titres d'ingénieur (CTI).
The engineer's job involves posing, studying and solving, in an effective and innovative way, often complex problems involving the creation, design, production, implementation and control of products, systems or services - and possibly their financing and marketing - within an organization that is often competitive. It integrates concerns for the protection of mankind, society and its values, life and the environment, and more generally collective well-being.
The engineer's activity mobilizes human resources and technical and financial means. It contributes to the creation, development, competitiveness and sustainability of companies and organizations, in an international context. In fact, it would be appropriate to speak in the plural of engineering "professions".

The objectives of this short module are to:

Situate the engineer's place in the company and, more broadly, the role he or she can play in the evolution of society and the socio-economic landscape,
Identify the skills expected of an engineer and learn about the skills assessment system at ENSCBP,
Identify the various resources and systems that can be mobilized to develop a professional project.
