Syllabus

The areas to be visited are defined during semester 6, after discussion between the students and the teachers involved. Each company visit is associated with two of the following areas selected by the students:

Waste treatment: operational waste management (waste flows within the company, effluent treatment, etc.).
Standards and legislation:

Compliance with ISO standards, implementation of REACH regulations, etc.
Implementation of specific standards linked to the sector of activity (pharmaceuticals, defense, etc.).
Risk management. Plant safety. Safety of installations.


"Production" division:

Organization and operation of the production line.
Process engineering.
Quality control.
Maintenance.


"People and organization management" division:

Human resources management (careers, qualification levels, etc.).
Work organization, workload distribution: share of permanent/temporary contracts, temporary work, use of subcontractors, etc.
Employee representation: works council, CHS, etc. ...


Management:

SUPPLY CHAIN: procurement and purchasing, inventory management. Logistics...
Market research, outlets and forecasts.
Company financial management.


"Innovation" cluster:

Research and development.
Long-term policy... On this basis, a set of specifications is drawn up by a group of students (around 10), and a pre-visit presentation is made to the visiting group.




A debriefing for the whole class, in the form of a mini-course covering the new knowledge related to the selected themes and their illustration by examples chosen within the company visited, is carried out by the group of students who prepared the visit.
