Description

This à la carte module aims to develop knowledge and skills in the fields of biosensor development as a diagnostic tool, and drug development: advanced multi-step synthesis of active ingredients, obtaining optically active compounds and their characterization, basic galenics and clinical testing will also be covered.
During this module, the learner will develop the following skills:

Obtaining or modifying the functional properties of an organic material
Choosing and implementing analytical methods on a molecular and macromolecular scale
Keeping a scientific, technological and competitive watch (collecting and analyzing articles and patents)
Searching, finding, analyzing and synthesizing information, analyze and synthesize information
Communicate orally and in writing
Integrate knowledge into a research problem, or an industrial or socio-economic sector in France or abroad
Have a very good level of oral and written English, enabling presentation of scientific advances and research work.

This module is ideal for the 3A CBI, LAI and NMT specializations.

This section will be assessed on the basis of a knowledge test and the production of a poster in English describing a drug (synthesis, purification, characterization of the active ingredient, administration) or a biosensor. This poster will be presented in a 5-minute pitch to the whole group during a poster session in English. Poster session (4 h)
