Description
Module EA201 specializes in integrated analog electronics. It deals mainly with the analysis and synthesis of transistor-level Operational Amplifiers (OpAmp).
Objectives:
1/ To be able to analyze a transistor-level operational amplifier schematic
2/ To be able to synthesize a stabilized 3-stage AOp
3/ To propose a non-ideal macro-model of an AOp.
Teaching hours
- CIIntegrated courses7h
- TDMMachine Tutorial12h
Mandatory prerequisites
Semester 5 - UE B - Modules: EA107, EA118
Semester 6 - UE B - Module: EA116
Semester 7 - UE A - Module: EA233
Syllabus
The course of the module follows the following chronology:
5 1h20 integrated lecture slots: Analysis of the various functions that make up an AOP
Polarization, Output stage/Buffer, Transimpedance Amplification (OTA) and Stabilization
1 1h20 TD slot: Synthesis of an AOP
The sizing of a basic 3-stage AOp is carried out according to an imposed specification
3 3h project slots: Synthesis and Simulation on Cadence of an AOp
The circuit studied in TD is entered and simulated on Cadence in 350nm CMOS technology.
Verification by simulation of the design flow followed in TD
Complete characterization of the AOP (Slew Rate, Offset, Output Dynamics, Output Impedance...)
