Further information
Plan:
Chapter 1: Theoretical models (6h CM; Lecturer: Véronique Lespinet-Najib)
- User-centered design
- Usability
- UX
- Trust and acceptability
Chapter 2: Examples of devices (6h TD; Speaker: Véronique Lespinet-Najib)
- Brain computer interface
- IoT for healthcare
- Etc.
"Philosophy of practical sessions, practical work and projects":
The purpose of practical sessions is to present concrete examples of bio-medical devices for which it is essential to take usage and usability into account. The TDs will take the form of discussions and questioning. Ethical issues will also be addressed.
Note:
The assessment will involve writing a "Usage and Usability" section, to be included in their project report, on the importance of taking human factors into account in their project.

Chapter 2: Device examples (6h, tutorials; lecturer: Véronique Lespinet-Najib)
* Brain computer interface;
* IoT for healthcare;
* Etc.
"Spirit of the lectures and tutorials:"
The tutorials aim at presenting examples of biomedical devices for which the question of taking into account uses and usability is essential. They will take the form of exchanges with questions. Some ethical issues may also be addressed.
Comment:
Evaluation will be performed on a dedicated "Usage and acceptability" section that will be included in the report of the realization project and will discuss the importance of taking human factors into account with respect to the project specifics.
