This course is an introduction to the problems of data and system security for embedded systems. It begins with a presentation of security issues, particularly for mobile and communicating embedded systems. Without being exhaustive, this course will present the classic hardware attacks against such systems, as well as the main countermeasures. Finally, security solutions will be studied, including reconfigurable systems (based on FPGAs) and programmable systems (crypto-processors and secure modules).
