Description
This module introduces students to Unix system administration techniques and tools.
Objectives
The aim is to enable students to manipulate Linux systems using various configuration options. The course is structured in TP format as a step-by-step guide to certain configurations. This will reduce research and exploration of options, but will provide the knowledge needed to configure a system according to best practice.

Syllabus
* Overview of network administration techniques
* Configure machines
* Find information and tools for machine administration
* Administer CISCO routers (RIP protocol), set up VLANs
* Concepts of quality of service in networks
* Problems raised by QoS
* Protocol for implementing quality of service.
