Description

Thermodynamics is one of the disciplines essential to the training of an engineer in materials science, insofar as it is involved in the processing of materials, the prediction of their behavior in service and the interpretation of some of their physical properties.
The aim of this course is to provide an essential grounding in thermodynamics and thermochemistry, which will then be necessary for understanding and applying this discipline in the field of materials (course "Thermodynamics of materials, surfaces and interfaces, semester 6)
The principles of thermodynamics will be presented in their phenomenological and experimental aspects. The thermodynamic functions U, H and S will then be used to describe various processes and chemical reactions.
