Description

Semester 6 of the "Materials Engineer" apprenticeship must be validated by an analysis of the host company. This dossier consists of a report of no more than 10 pages, in which the apprentice presents a study of his or her company, its sector of activity, its core business, its flagship products, its skills, its place in the market and its strengths in the face of international competition.

The pedagogical objectives are to:

Deepen knowledge of the company, its operating methods, its strengths, its skills, its cutting-edge techniques, its flagship products, its partnerships with the scientific world...
Synthesize all the information available on all types of media (Internet, magazines, newspapers, company intranet, etc.)
Discover foreign competition
Take a critical look at national and international competition
Take a step back from your company's positioning in the market
Understand the strategy developed within your company (if possible)

Syllabus

A report of no more than 10 pages on the proposed subject will serve as the basis for validation of the host company's analysis file.
It will contain at least:

A summary presentation of the company (1 to 2 pages)
Its core business and know-how (2 pages)
A statement of your company's or project's products and processes (2 pages)
An exhaustive analysis of national and/or international competition (2 pages)
A personal conclusion on the contribution of this work (1 page)

Each apprentice will be assessed jointly by his or her apprenticeship supervisor (opinion) and by his or her teaching tutor (assessment of the report).
