Description


Every engineer working for a company is or will be required to use a management system formalized in accordance with regulatory and/or standardized requirements. They need to understand its meaning and use. Whether they are in charge of R&D projects, production, technical or scientific studies, they need to understand the role and impact of regulations on their activities and objectives. This applies to product and service quality, environmental management and preservation, and the maintenance of personal hygiene, health and safety. As a supervisor, or even team leader, the engineer knows how a management system and its steering tools work. They are also able to use these tools to drive progress and continuous improvement.
Year 1: QHSE risk management in the company, the role of regulations and their consequences for the company.
Year 2: management systems in organizations, basic concepts, common standards and recognition procedures.
Year 3: managing and steering with the management system, corporate governance, reporting tools, continuous improvement.

Syllabus


The pedagogy combines academic approaches and individual or group work, enabling students to put into practice by analyzing what is being done in the company. It is based on four phases:

Academic course to provide students with the necessary knowledge,
Group work to analyze company practices,
Pooling and correction of work through an oral presentation by each group,
Consideration of comments and written presentation by each group.

Assessment is based on the oral presentation and the written document.
