Description

This module includes:

more in-depth training in the use of ANSYS/Fluent
learning how to use OpenFoam open source software.

It is largely carried out through a group industrial project.
Examples of projects carried out in previous years:

Grading will take place:

through OpenFOAM practical exercises
through individual assessment of knowledge and mastery of the tools and project
at the start of the project, through the drafting of specifications and a study plan
at the end of the project, through:

the drafting of a report
oral presentation to a jury.

Syllabus


Setting up the project together (groups of 3 or 4)
OpenFoam:

4 hours are devoted to presenting the software and its possibilities
20 hours are devoted to getting students to grips with the software through practical exercises: - studying test cases - getting to grips with the mesher - adding code to modify the equations solved


Fluent:

Breaking down the project into sub-projects and identifying technical constraints
Support in carrying out the study using the software.
