Description

The aim of this course is to provide the scientific basis for understanding the physical phenomena that determine the performance of a transmission channel, in particular the influence of different propagation media in terms of range and data rates. The course covers the propagation of free electromagnetic waves (reflections, refraction, etc.) and guided electromagnetic waves (lines, optical fibers, etc.), as well as EMC concepts and radiating structures (antennas, link balances, etc.).
