Physical Layer part: this part of the course introduces the transmission techniques used in mobile and wireless networks. In particular, it presents the spread-spectrum techniques used in 3G telephony systems, and the OFDM technique used in the IEEE 802.11a/g/n, IEEE 802.16, DVB-T and DVB-H standards.

High layer:
The aim of this second part of the course is to present the transmission architecture of mobile and wireless telecommunications systems such as GSM, mobile IP and DVB.

Course objectives: The aim of this course is to present the transmission techniques used in mobile and wireless telecommunications systems, and to illustrate their use in current and future systems.
