Mathematics for engineers

This mathematics for engineers course is a continuation of the MA100 refresher course in S5 UV SEE5-A.
Additional and more in-depth information is introduced. Reminder of algebra. Matrix calculus. Fourier transform of functions. Notions on distribution theory. Fourier transforms in the sense of the Dirac distribution and its comb. Notions on functions of the complex variable, development in Laurent series and link with the Z-transform.

UV SEE5-A upgrade

1. Reminder of algebra on structures, bodies, rings and vector spaces (properties... )
2. Fourier transform of L1 and L2 functions (gate, triangle, sinc etc... Properties. Equa.dif applications...).
3. Fourier transform in the sense of distributions (Dirac and the comb, Poisson relation) and applications.
4. Matrix calculus (properties, product, determinant, inversion, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, diagonalization, etc.) and applications.
5. Functions of the complex variable, Taylor and Laurent series development. Link with the Z-transform.
