Description

Control of a DGEN 380 turbofan engine
This project, divided into 3 parts, covers the various stages involved in setting up a speed control law for the low-pressure shaft of a DGEN 380 turbofan engine.

The project is based on:
- the Simulink model of the DGEN 380 engine control loop
- the Westt CS/BV station with the FADEC (Full Authority Digital Engine Control) block containing the corrector, and the Simmot block simulating the DGEN 380 engine.
Part I: Identification and proportional control of the DGEN 380 engine's low-pressure shaft speed servo
(Matlab/Simulink model + Westt CS/BV Station)
The aim is to characterize the DGEN 380 turbojet engine in time and frequency domains, and in particular to determine its frequency response with a view to proportional control.
Part Two: PIDF control of the low-pressure shaft speed of the DGEN 380 engine
(Matlab/Simulink model + Westt CS/BV station)
The aim is to illustrate the different actions of a PIDF corrector and to provide students with a methodology for synthesizing such a corrector.
Part Three: Discretization and hardware implementation of the control law Synthesis and implementation of a digital corrector application to the speed control of the DGEN 380 low-pressure shaft
(Matlab/Simulink model + Westt CS/BV Station)
The aim is to familiarize the student with the usual tools (approximation in , W-transformation (bilinear) and Tustin transformation) used to extend the field of application of control law synthesis methods for continuous systems to the case of discrete systems.
