Channel estimation and synchronization in digital communications

The aim of this module is to deepen the understanding of digital wireless communications systems. The module consists of two parts of lectures and one part dedicated to the application of the lectures within the framework of a project. The lectures will focus on time/frequency synchronization and propagation channel estimation. Once the problems have been outlined, the formalization of several algorithms for 1/ synchronization and 2/ channel estimation will be proposed. The project will involve implementing the various algorithms presented in the course in a digital communication system, using software-defined radios.
