Syllabus
Following an amphitheater presentation at the start of semester 6, students are divided into different groups, each associated with one (or two) of the clusters described below.
- Production" cluster:
o Organization and operation of the production line
o Process engineering
o Production volume, machinery, maintenance
- Research and Development:
o The role of innovation in corporate strategy
o Types of innovation: product, process, market, commercial, organizational
o Long-term policy...
- Management of people and organizations" section:
o Human resources management (careers, level of qualification, etc.).
o Work organization, distribution of workloads: proportion of permanent/temporary contracts, temporary work, use of subcontractors, etc.
o Form of staff representation: works council, CHSCT, ....
- QSE" department:
o Implementation of sector-specific standards (pharmaceuticals, defense, etc.); compliance with ISO standards; implementation of REACH regulations, etc.
o Risk management, facility safety, etc.
- CSR" section:
o The company's environmental commitment & its place in the global strategy
o Operational management of waste, emissions, origin of raw materials
o Various actions, ...
A few weeks after the final visits, there will be an opportunity for the groups to share their experiences (within the same group and then between groups). Each group should be able to share the new knowledge it has acquired, illustrating it with examples from the visits.
