Description
MODD (Management et Outils du Développement Durable - Management and Tools for Sustainable Development) brings together a series of courses on sustainable development, a concept that plays a major role in the strategy of any company. These courses enable students to learn how to manage certain issues associated with preserving the environment, quality and the safety of goods and people, based on the concepts of management systems and more specific techniques.
MODD3 does not include lectures.

Syllabus
The MODD3 module takes the form of a single 1-hour test, made up of questions, mainly MCQs, punctuated by a few open-ended questions to test the student's capacity for analysis and synthesis. The main aim of the test is to assess students' overall understanding of the key issues at stake in ecological transitions for sustainable development (TEDS), rather than simply their ability to present factual data. These are precisely the skills expected of future engineers at the end of their training.
Throughout the test, students will need to draw on both the concepts acquired during their engineering studies and their general knowledge of current societal and environmental challenges: climate change, biodiversity preservation, energy and food transition, circular economy, eco-design and corporate social responsibility, as well as the engineering tools (carbon footprint, LCA, etc.) that support impact reduction strategies. Each section of the test thus reflects a skill "expected on leaving school".
The scale distinguishes three levels of mastery: a score above 75% indicates a solid grasp of the concepts, a result between 50% and 75% indicates a good foundation but points to be consolidated, while a score below 50% indicates the need to rework certain fundamentals. Whatever the score, students have access to a range of targeted resources, including summary sheets, corrected exercises, case studies and webinars, to fill in any gaps.
