A recent evolution of ancient theatrical practices, the "improvisation match" has many characteristics that can be directly transposed to teamwork. It helps to sharpen observation and listening skills (without which no construction is possible), self-confidence and a sense of cooperation, a sense of rhythm and a capacity for commitment and decision-making (to determine the right moment to "go for it"). As in the practice of some team sports, each individual can also experience his or her own resources and limits in the context of a dynamic in which the collective result exceeds the sum of individual performances. Last but not least, the practice of improvisation helps to build self-confidence and oral fluency, both of which are essential in today's managerial environment.
The two-day seminar is almost exclusively practical, covering the fundamental principles of improvisation:
listen
accept
react, respond
have confidence in yourself and others, dare
as well as various techniques specific to this theatrical form:
Work on the relationship with the audience
Work on the body, gestures, voice and gaze
Work on sets
Work on basic categories
It ends with a match organized in a form as close as possible to that of real matches, given the limits of a simple initiation.
