At the end of the module, students should be able to

understand the essential content of concrete or abstract subjects in articles in business and professional English,
understand fairly long lectures and speeches and follow complex argumentation if the subject is relatively familiar,
understand most TV news and current affairs programs,
express oneself clearly and in detail on a wide range of subjects, give an opinion on a topical issue and explain the advantages and disadvantages of different options,
pass the TOEIC with a score of at least 785 points (level B2).

The above objectives correspond to those set by the CEFR for level B2.

Mini-project or language activities depending on the lecturer

A communicative and interactive approach based essentially on the acquisition of fundamental grammatical and lexical skills and knowledge, particularly in the specialist language.

Notes:





Students with TOEIC 785 will not be exempted from the course.
The first 50% of the CC grade for session 1 consists of checks on attendance, oral participation in class, oral presentation and homework submission.
The following 50% of the CC grade for session 1 corresponds to a grade based on TOEIC test results.
