The objectives of this module are:

To be able to understand oral and written articles (technical and non-technical) in the field of cognitics.
To be able to write reports and other written documents related to the field of cognitics.
To be able to give an oral presentation of around ten minutes without notes.
To be able to understand and use authentic documents from the English-speaking media.

Part 1: Study of 3 topics related to the specialist field (approx. 18h)
For each of the 3 topics:

Listening comprehension - practice/refresher
Reading comprehension - practice/refresher
Speaking - activity
Writing and/or grammatical/lexical reinforcement

Part 2: Refinement of skills and knowledge (approx. 12h)
Chapter 1: Refresher of skills and knowledge

What makes a good presentation?
Individual / paired oral presentation

Chapter 2: Group activities and projects to perfect linguistic resources and accuracy

Language activities (linguistic reinforcement)
Mini-projects, problem solving (work on fluency and active skills - oral and written expression)

Notes: Students with TOEIC 785 are not exempt from lessons. Grades are based on attendance, oral participation in class, oral presentation and completion of homework assignments.
"Philosophie des TD":
A communicative, interactive approach based essentially on the acquisition of fundamental grammatical and lexical skills and knowledge, particularly in the speciality language.
Course evaluation:
Session 1: 2-hour final exam (60% of the semester grade) + continuous assessment/work in TD (40%, including 20% for an oral presentation).
Session 2: No second session, but grade carried forward.
