Description
Modern language other than English for English-speaking students.
Preliminary remarks :
- Achieving a TOEIC score of 785 points or more is nothing out of the ordinary, especially for an engineer.
- The TOEIC is an exam that only measures listening and comprehension skills, and does not take into account other skills, let alone intercultural skills and the ability to work in an English-speaking environment.
- ENSC's English courses are not only designed to prepare students for the TOEIC exam, but also to ensure that students have a sufficient level of English to function in today's business world. If this is the case, success in the TOEIC exam is a matter of course.
Objectives
Replacement of English lessons at ENSC by those of another modern language
Teaching hours
- TDTutorial24h
- TIIndividual work12h
Mandatory prerequisites
Conditions for requesting the replacement of English lessons at ENSC by those of another modern language:
Students wishing to replace English lessons at ENSC with those of another modern language must:
- provide a recent TOEIC test with a score of at least 950 points at the start of the academic year
- pass an interview with a teacher in charge of English modules at ENSC
- pass the TOEIC test (with a score of at least 785) in the first semester of the current academic year (a TOEIC test is organized in Semester 7 as part of the ENSC CO7INAN0 module, generally between late November and early December).
If condition 1 is not met, the application will not be accepted.
If condition 1 is met and condition 2 is not validated, the application will be rejected.
If conditions 1 and 2 are met and condition 3 is not validated, the student will have to return to ENSC's English courses the following semester.
Important notes:
- The replacement of English modules by those of another modern language is valid for the entire duration of the student's studies at ENSC.
- If a student wishes to return to the school's English classes for certain semesters, he or she must submit a request to the school's English teachers and the school office before the end of the previous semester.
- Any request (to replace English lessons with those of another modern language) during the course of your studies at ENSC will be refused.
- ENSC's English courses are managed by the school's administration. It is therefore up to the student (who replaces ENSC English lessons with lessons in another modern language) to check that the time slots for lessons in this other modern language do not overlap with those for ENSC lessons.
