Description

The aim of these 1st semester electronics projects/TPs is, on the one hand, to introduce students to basic electronics by means of a few classic assemblies implementing the main functions of analog signal processing, and on the other hand, to enable students to master basic laboratory equipment, methods and measurement protocols. They are divided into a practical session followed by a lab session, so that students can directly apply the theory covered in the practical session. Some practical sessions lead to a project the following week, based on a complete session.

Syllabus

TP1 - Discovery of laboratory equipment Objectives : Discover the laboratory and its equipment (GBF, multimeters, etc.). Construction of a waveform, oscilloscope display, measurement of average and RMS values. Applications to R-C and C-R circuits.

TP2 - Study of the operational amplifier in linear mode Objectives : Discover the basic set-ups of linear operational amplifiers: Amplifier, 1st order low-pass filter.

TP3 - The operational amplifier - Non-linear applications Objectives : Discover the basic non-linear operational amplifier setups: Inverting hysteresis comparator

TP4 - Mini-project: variable-width pulse generator. Aims: create an AOP-based variable-width pulse (PWM) generator.

TP5 - Diodes: characteristics and applications Objectives: Characterization of different diode types, full-wave rectification

TP6-7- MOS transistor characteristics Aims: characterize a MOS transistor in static mode: output and transfer characteristics. Study the common-source amplifier circuit.

TP8 - Study of a differential pair Objectives: characterization of a differential pair

TP9-10 - Mini-project Audio-frequency amplifier in linear class
Objectives: Design, production and characterization of a mono audio amplifier based on two transistors (voltage amplifier followed by a current amplifier follower).
