Description

The aim of the field schools organized in semester 6 is to illustrate, through observations in the natural environment, the lessons taught in the fields of geology, and more specifically sedimentary geology, tectonics and cartography. Students will be asked to reconstitute the geometry of sedimentary systems, to reconstruct the principal structural and sedimentary evolution of the basin and to propose a cartographic representation. These field placements, organized in the Pyrenees and Roussillon at the end of the year, provide an opportunity to apply the knowledge acquired from the geology teaching modules: sedimentology, stratigraphy, structural analysis and cartography.
Minimum skills to be acquired:Use of academic knowledge in the field, transposition of lectures to the field.
