Description
The aim of this module is to offer a concrete vision of the professions and techniques involved in underground reservoir geology, across all current and future industrial applications. In the context of the energy transition, this concerns the traditional activities of oil and gas extraction, but also the search for other energies (hydrogen, uranium) and temporary (natural gas, hydrogen, energy) or permanent (CO2) storage.
The following concepts are covered:
- Use of underground reservoirs in the Aquitaine basin;
- CO2 reservoir and storage engineering;
- Search for native hydrogen;
- Helium research;
- The energy transition;
- Search for uranium and rare earths.
