Description

The aim of this course is to acquire and apply the various tools and methods for integrating Geology - Geophysics - Reservoirs at different scales, which are essential for understanding the heterogeneity and anisotropy of sedimentary reservoir systems, and which are necessary in the Georesources professions (deep storage, petroleum systems, geothermal energy, hydrogeology, imaging and geomodeling).


3G assessment of the quality of the Paleocene dolomitic reservoir system in the Landes de Siougos anticlinal structure (Aquitaine Basin) will be based on 5 days of core analysis at the Storengy map library. This analysis will include the following steps:

  • Thin-slice analysis;
  • Petrophysical analysis of core samples;
  • Log analysis;
  • Summary of results;
  • Oral presentations and reports.

  • Sedimentological and petrographic analysis
  • Quantify reservoir properties using laboratory petrophysical methods,
  • Quantify reservoir properties using logging tools,
  • Integrate geological - geophysical - reservoir data for a better 3D image of reservoirs,
