Description

The aim of this module is the detailed study of landforms and a general understanding of the processes responsible for the genesis of large morphological complexes (landscapes). The genesis of a landscape is a complex concept, involving both forces internal to the planet (tectonics) and forces external to it (agents of erosion, climate, etc.). Geomorphology thus encompasses a set of forms (morphologies: objects), specific sediments (products: surface formations and alterations) and processes (erosion, abrasion, gelifraction, etc.).
Minimum skills to be acquired: Know how to read a morphological model and understand the dynamics of its development in relation to processes.
