Description
The aim of this sequence is to understand the functions of a mechanism in order to carry out the functional dimensioning of useful parts.
Teaching hours
- CIIntegrated Courses9h
Syllabus
Reading assembly drawings and, from this document and a kinematic diagram:
Session 1-2:
Define the mechanism's operating principle and operating conditions
Define the assembly conditions for standard components and manufactured parts
Deduce the functional conditions of assembly and use to be transferred to the assembly drawing (adjustments, drawing of dimension chains and calculation of IT)
Transfer the functional dimensions to the parts' definition drawings
Session 3-4:
Interpret dimensional and geometric specifications on a definition drawing
Find the links between dimensioning and part functions
From an assembly drawing, find the functions and functional conditions of assembly and operation, extract the parts and place and/or interpret the functional dimensioning on the associated definition drawings
Session 5:
From the 3D modeling of a simple mechanism on CATIA,
Draw up the mechanism in the DRAFTING workshop
Transfer the adjustments and functional conditions
Extract a part, draw it up and transfer the functional dimensioning
Session 6:
From the 3D modeling on CATIA and the dimensioning defined in session 5, draw up the dimensioning directly in the 3D model via the FTA workshop.
