Application of composite materials

In this "APliCation des Matériaux CoMPosites" course, we'll look at how to:

(Choosing the components of a composite according to the capacities required for the part: optional, if prerequisites not met)
Respect environmental constraints and consider the product's complete life cycle
Implement a process for producing the part
Evaluate the impact of the process on the desired characteristics
Select and dimension the elements connecting the composite part to the structure
Mechanically dimension the part using design office methods

Basic knowledge of composite materials from 1st year SC.

The course consists of 3 teaching sessions and one examination session. The courses are made up of modules adapted to the achievement of the objectives defined above:
Day 1: Presentations, Reach - Biosourced - Recycling, Draping - Winding - Fiber placement
Day 2: Baking - Thermoplastics - Machining, Inspections - Assemblies (1/2), Assemblies (2/2)
Day 3 : Design (1/2), Design (2/2), Dimensioning exercise
The examination is in the form of presentations on a topical technical subject, for which it is expected that one of the aspects seen in class will be developed. The exam is given in groups of 4 students and lasts around 40 minutes.
