Mathematics for engineers

Objectives
Refresher course in basic mathematical knowledge and tools for engineering sciences. Concepts covered include:

Rational numbers, real numbers
Vector calculus
Linear systems
Complex numbers
Functions: composition, limits, continuity, derivability
Usual functions : exp, ln, trigonometric functions and their reciprocals, power functions
Calculating integrals, integration by parts, change of variables
1st order linear differential equations
Fourrier and Lapalce transforms

Skills acquired

Translate a simple problem into mathematical language
Master the basics of logic and organize mathematical reasoning `
Know and apply the main mathematical models used in engineering sciences.
