Presentation
The training provided at ENSPIMA complements the "design" and "production" engineering courses, and aims to bridge the gap between the two in order to optimize the costs of future maintenance operations.
Objectives
The ENSPIMA curriculum lasts 3 years, i.e. 6 semesters, 2 of which can be completed in another French or foreign higher education establishment. Scientific training is concentrated on the first three semesters of the curriculum, so as to provide engineering students with a solid scientific and technical foundation, essential for grasping the various facets of their future profession.
The courses are structured around 8 themes:
- Maintenance, repair and overhaul
- Maintaining operational readiness
- Aerospace structures
- Human and Social Sciences & Engineering Sciences
- Aeronautics, space and defense culture
- Aerospace systems
- Maintenance of the future
- Digital maintenance
These themes form the general foundation of the training program, broken down into teaching modules.
From semester 8, 2 specialization tracks:
- Aeronautical structures
- Aircraft systems

Special features
In semester 7, ENSPIMA student-engineers are required to spend a semester abroad.
Open on a sandwich basis
Contract type | Professionalization contract |
---|
In 3rd year, engineering students have the opportunity to sign a professionalization contract.
Courses
Internship | Mandatory |
---|---|
Length of internship | 9 to 12 months |
Internship abroad | Possible |
Duration of internship abroad | 9 to 12 months |
Internships prepare student engineers for the world of work by enabling them to define and mature their career plans. Three compulsory internships are carried out during the 3 years of training, in France or abroad: operator internship (S6), engineer internship (S8) and specialization internship (S10).
Operator training course
Duration | From 4 to 8 weeks |
---|---|
Period | May, August |
Type of mission | The operator internship is designed to introduce engineering students to the organization of work in a company. It also makes them aware of teamwork conditions. May to August
|
Engineering internship
Duration | From 12 to 16 weeks |
---|---|
Period | June, September |
Type of mission | The program is designed to develop and complement engineering skills through experience. |
Specialization course
Duration | From 20 to 24 weeks |
---|---|
Period | February, August |
Type of mission | It is an opportunity for students to apply the knowledge they have acquired during their specialization in a company. This internship is carried out in a company, with the exception of students who wish to go into research, who will carry out this internship in a laboratory. |
