Description
At the end of the course, students will be introduced to the major contemporary economic issues and will be familiar with the basic concepts and specific methods of economics. More specifically in the field of innovation, they will have the necessary grounding to interact with specialists in innovation and intellectual property.

1-The main concepts of economic functioning: liberalism and public intervention. Aspects of economic dynamics: growth and crisis, two related aspects of economic imbalance: unemployment and inflation, cyclical economic policies: fiscal policy and monetary policy, modes of financing the economy: banking and the stock market, the territory of the economy: globalization and European integration.2-The economics of innovation: the evolutionary conception of innovation, the notion of technological trajectories, the variety of technological trajectories. Case studies/group work.
