Description
Mobilize theoretical, practical and technical knowledge of microbial cell culture/growth in a bioreactor process to design and simulate a bioprocess adapted to the objectives defined upstream (choice of culture method, product, etc.).
Teaching hours
- PRACTICAL WORKPractical work36h
Mandatory prerequisites
Teaching in S8: USP Bioproduction processes, Microbial bioproduction Teaching in S6: Microbial bioproduction
Further information
Bioreactor culture processes - batch, fed-batch or continuous - applied to the study of yeast metabolism. Application of microbial growth modeling tools to simulate processes according to the product defined upstream. Setting up and running processes by controlling culture and growth parameters using a software interface. Process experimental data on biological reactions (biomass, metabolites and products), applying the concepts of kinetics and yield to establish production balances.
