Description
Enzymes:
Deepen quantitative approaches in enzymology, from a simple model to a multi-parametric system.
Master calculations of concentrations (of substrates, products, enzymes), dilutions to be carried out, determination of enzymatic activities, and master graphic representations adapted to analyses.
At the end of the Biological Macromolecules course, students will be able to mobilize knowledge to apprehend macromolecules from different angles: synthesis, structures, functions. They will be assessed on their ability to analyze practical cases in the context of solving exercises, case studies or analyzing scientific, technical and commercial documents.
Teaching hours
- CIIntegrated Courses24h
Mandatory prerequisites
Knowledge of biology, chemistry, biochemistry and molecular biology at DUT/L3 level
Further information
Enzymes:
Reminder of quantitative and applied enzymology: thermodynamic and kinetic aspects, enzymes with 1 or 2 substrates, inhibitions, activity units and activity tests. Experimental approach to assay validation. Enzyme activity control.
Target skills
Mobilize fundamental knowledge of mammalian cell biology to ensure in-depth understanding of pathophysiological processes in order to identify biological targets and develop innovative therapeutic or diagnostic approaches.
