Description
By the end of the Biomolecule Purification and Chromatography course, students will have mastered the technical and strategic aspects of purification, enabling them to independently analyze practical cases and scientific, technical and commercial documents, and to make strategic choices.
Analytical sciences: Learn about the different analytical approaches to protein analysis.
Nucleic acid extraction and assay: Learn about the principles of nucleic acid extraction, purification and analysis techniques.

Purification and chromatography of biomolecules:
Bio-Chromatography: a) from media to columns and equipment, b) from the characteristics of the molecule of interest to the techniques used, c) chromatograms, terms and fundamental equations, d) the different techniques: SECs, IEXs, HIC, RPC, Hydroxapatite, MMC, ACs.
Dialysis, desalting and diafiltration: three techniques for a single result.
Where? When? When? How? Protein precipitation: Concentrate or purify?
Analytical sciences:
Electrophoresis: Analysis and prediction tool.
Protein properties and their analytical applications.
Mass spectrometry (protein characterization, protein identification).
