Description
This module introduces the tools needed to process discrete-time digital signals. In particular, the concepts of Fourier transform, Z-transform, filtering, sampling and windowing are covered.

Syllabus
* Course content:
- Introduction
- Signal digitization (sampling, Shannon's sampling theorem, aliasing effect, etc.)
- Discrete-time systems (impulse response, stability, etc.)
- Notion of filtering (z-transform reminder, difference equation, amplitude and phase frequency diagram, etc.)
- Fourier transform of discrete signals.
* Contents: Digital signal processing in Matlab:
- Fourier transform of discrete signals. Windowing.
- Discrete-time signals and systems and applications.
