Description
The aim of this module is to continue the study of the different blocks of the digital communications chain initiated in the first year, focusing on the error correction part. The course will be dedicated to the study of the basic principles of channel coding, which consists in intelligently adding redundancy to the message to be transmitted, so as to protect it against potential alterations to the transmission channel. Practical sessions will be dedicated to the implementation of a few channel codes, and to the numerical evaluation of their performance.
